Pay as you drive insuranceYou’ve probably seen that lately, some insurance companies offer an auto insurance plan called “pay as you drive” as part as their insurance options.  What does this means? you can buy an insurance that depends on how many miles (kilometers) you drive yearly.

Sit down, relax, and try to calculate what’s your mileage each year and you could but the best “Pay as you drive” insurance plan. How do they find out how many miles you drive? They install in your car a device that tracks it via GPS  and that devices tracks how many miles you make yearly. That data is being sent to your insurance company and they settle the price for your policy. This could definetely help you if you’re not driving too many miles yearly.

It’s true that you might think you don’t need an auto insurance if you’re not driving too much, but you never know when you’ll have a bad incident. Also, when you want to rent a car you can sign for a “pay as you drive” insurance. This could be paid on how many miles you’re driving but could also be paid by the hour, and the price would be calculated on how many hours you’re going to drive.

So, if you’re not using too much your car, or if you just want a quick insurance after you’ve rented a car, you should definetely make a “Pay as you Drive” insurance because you’ll never know when bad things happen.
