Canadian Travel InsuranceWhen booking expensive vacation getaways most people will usually try to save themselves a couple of dollars here or there. Most people tend to think that buying travel and/or health insurance is just a waste of money and it’s not really necessary. Even if your country destination is safe and a well-developed country doesn’t mean that you don’t require a travel and health insurance policy. With travel insurance Canada you can get peace of mind knowing that you are protected against unknown circumstances which may limit your ability to go on the trip you had planned for.

Canadian travel insurance protects the policy holder in case of sudden illnesses, family emergencies, lost income/wages/employment, flight cancellation and more. The important thing is that travel and Canadian health insurance policies offer financial protection in case you need to cancel your vacation or are stuck in a foreign hospital bed. Without adequate insurance you would be responsible for these costs should you find yourself in such a situation.

A good Canadian travel insurance policy will give you peace of mind knowing that you are covered for anything. The small cost of an insurance policy gives you financial coverage and protection in case you find yourself in a dire situation and are either unable to make your trip or are stuck in a foreign country and desperately need medical attention. So overall, a good travel and health insurance policy can go a long way in protecting yourself in case of emergencies.

Sports FansYou know what it’s like when you’ve been an avid follower of one sport or another - be it soccer to snooker to shinty (to name just a few examples).

With a wide variety of different tournaments happening all over the world, many sports fans go to great lengths to support their team - forking out what can equate to thousands of pounds of their hard-earned money on tickets, flights and hotels in order to follow them around the world.

But whilst thousands of fans may travel abroad to watch their teams in competition, many tend to travel without arranging some form of travel insurance before embarking on such trips.

However far the journey, sports fans are being reminded to take precautions and ensure they are covered for their supportive journeys. And with a wide range of cheap travel insurance policies available, many fans could find the cost of such insurance to be lower than first thought.

It is advisable to purchase some form of travel insurance before making your trip, and there are many types of policy that can cater for a range of budgets. Anything can happen when you go abroad, and it’s always best to have some kind of cover in place should you run into difficulties during your trip.

For those traveling to European countries it is also advisable to purchase a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) - forms are available from post offices and the card itself is handy to have in case anything should you run into difficulties during your trip. However, the card may not cover you for all medical and repatriation costs, and it can be a lengthy and costly process should you need to be flown back from your holiday for treatment in your country of origin.

For trips abroad to watch your team play it is usually advisable (and affordable) to take out a policy for a single trip - even if you’re just popping over for the day.

For those traveling over for tournaments and major events it is advisable to take out an annual travel insurance policy, rather than single trip policies - this strategy can provide peace of mind and also save money due to the length of the policy.

By spending a little on taking out travel insurance before heading out to watch their teams, passionate fans are now able to follow their teams whilst staying protected against any unpredicted events - but unfortunately penalty shootouts won’t be included in the policy!
